Papa's House BIG Easter Egg Hunt

First (and most importantly) Papa shared the real reason for Easter with all the kids. He teared up telling the story of Jesus and then gave a prayer. We ate fried chicken, pea salad, potato salad, mac & cheese & biscuits. For dessert, there was dirt cake and poke-n-pour cake. Everything was delicious and it was wonderful celebrating another holiday with the Marstaller family together in Papa's house. The kids all love playing together and it's fun to hear about "The days when the older kids were younger..."
Aunt Joslyn set up egg decorating outside (excellent thinking!) and the kids enjoyed dying and painting eggs. I think John had the most fun with helping the kids, he was showing them how to dye eggs 2 colors!
Then came the BIG egg hunt in the backyard and the kids had fun searching for the eggs. There were some tricky hiding places. The kids divided up their candy and then swapped favorites with each other. This was more fun than Ridgewood Egg Hunt, hands down. I think we should do it again next year.
